HPMC & MHEC is made by propylene oxide, methyl chloride with alkali-cellulose after a chemical process called etherification under rigidly controlled conditions. The resultant nonionic polymer is purified, dried and ground to a fine white powder, this water-insoluble cellulose is turned into a water-soluble nonionic polymer. HPMC & MHEC is a good film-former and varies somewhat in physical and chemical properties. HPMC & MHEC is quite hydrophilic and readily soluble in cold water.
Hydroxypropyl MethylCellulose can prevent water from being absorbed by the substrate too quickly and reduce the rate of water volatilization into the air, and assure more water to stay in the mortar to participate in cement or gypsum hydration, increase the green and final strength of the dry mortar.
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose with better water retention can prolong the curing time of mortar. The ample operating time of mortar makes it to apply easily.

Storage
Should be stored in a cool and dry place and protected from moisture. Storage temperature should be less than 30 Deg. C as the risk of caking. Do not stack pallets too high to avoid compaction. It is recommended to use these products within six months of purchase. When you can’t use out the goods on time, must seal it again.
